About Our Services

What services does ADSL Care provide?
We provide domiciliary (home) care across West Sussex for adults who need support in their daily lives. Our services include personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming), rehabilitation assistance after illness or surgery, household management (cleaning, meal preparation, shopping), medication management, and companionship. We provide both hourly care and live-in care, depending on your needs.
Do you provide live-in care?
Yes. If you need support around the clock, we can arrange for a caregiver to live in your home full-time. This is often a preferred alternative to a care home for people who want to remain in familiar surroundings. Contact us to discuss whether live-in care is the right option.
Can I get care at short notice or in an emergency?
We do our best to accommodate urgent requests. If you are facing an unexpected situation — a sudden deterioration in health, a family carer who is unable to continue, or a hospital discharge at short notice — please call us immediately on 01798 667012. We will do everything we can to put support in place quickly.

About Our Caregivers

Are your caregivers trained and vetted?
Yes. Every ADSL Care caregiver is DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked, NHS verified, and professionally trained before they start work with clients. Training covers manual handling, medication support, safeguarding, dementia awareness, and more. We are CQC-registered, which means our standards are independently assessed and regulated.
Will I have the same caregiver each visit?
We strongly believe in caregiver consistency — it makes a real difference to wellbeing, trust, and quality of care. Wherever operationally possible, we ensure you see the same named caregiver. We will always notify you in advance if a different caregiver is covering a visit.

Care Plans and Process

How do you create a care plan?
We start with a free, no-obligation consultation — either by phone or a home visit. We then conduct a comprehensive assessment, working with you, your family, and any existing healthcare professionals. The resulting care plan is personalised to your needs, reviewed regularly, and can be updated whenever your circumstances change.
Can the care plan change if my needs change?
Absolutely. Care needs rarely stay the same. We review care plans regularly and welcome requests to adjust services at any time. Your dedicated care manager is your first point of contact whenever something needs to change.

Costs and Funding

How much does home care cost in West Sussex?
The cost of care depends on the type and frequency of support you need. We provide clear, transparent quotes with no hidden fees. Some people are eligible for funding through West Sussex County Council — we can help you understand your options. For a personalised quote, please call us or use our Get a Quote form.
Can I get funding for home care through the council?
You may be eligible for funding through a needs assessment from West Sussex County Council. This is a free assessment and anyone who appears to have care and support needs is entitled to one. We can advise on the process and support you through it. Some clients also use Direct Payments or Personal Health Budgets to fund their care.
